July 14: Bastille Day Rose Festival and Class: Do French Do it Better? ($59) Please join the GiraMondo Wine Team for our famous Bastille Day Rosé Festival on July 14. Early birds to purchase tickets can take the 6:30pm class on rosé wines (how they are made, what are the main grapes, how they differ). At 7:00pm, the Festival will start and participants will get the opportunity to taste 15+ still Rosés, of which 7 Rosés are from France (Tavel, Cotes de Provence, Bandol, Cotes du Rhone, Bordeaux, Loire Valley, Costieres de Nimes) opposed to 8 Rosés from all around the world (Napa, Sonoma, Italy, Argentina, South Africa, Australia, Spain, Austria). This year, we are also adding 5 Rosé sparkling wines from all around the world. May the best wine win! Tasting is accompanied by a selection of cheeses from around the world and a live jazz band to celebrate Bastille Day! Those wearing one piece of pink clothing (shoes, ties, shirts, etc…) will receive a raffle ticket to win a magnum of Bandol Rose wine (a $50 value). Also, and as usual in our festival, you will be able to play and be entertained at our mini vegas cocktail tables and have an opportunity to win wine accessories. We expect to sell out on this festive and fun Rose festival so we advising buying tickets early. Over 25 breweries will be tapping multiple kegs of their top artisan beers and ales at the Third Annual Magnolias Beer Festival. The festival will be held from 11 am until 6 pm on Saturday, July 17 at Magnolias at the Mill on 21st Street in Purcellville, VA. In addition to over 75 of this hemisphereʼs top artisan draft beers and ales, the event features Chef Mark Marroccoʼs Brat & BBQ Feast, with locally made bratwurst, slowcooked local pulled pork BBQ and all of the fixings. There will be plenty of live music from Michael Fath and Gary Smallwood, Mateo and more. Tickets for the popular event are $35 presale and $45 at the gate.
